    Horrible staff.
Just like all the other reviews the horrible woman in that cafe is so rude. How on earth they are still in business is beyond me. i would never go back.
I wandered in, quite relaxed thinking about a coffee and cake for morning tea. I look at the display and said that i just wanted something light. She barked at me that i should have the banana bread - I felt like i had to make an immediate decision so I agreed. I then tried to pay with my credit card and she pointed to the sign saying Cash Only - she rolled her eyes and glared at me like i was a complete idiot. I felt like walking out but didn't. I found out later that my other friends, who had arrived a bit earlier, had a similar experience.
One of my friends didn't get her coffee and when someone asked why she hadn't got it the rude lady said it hadn't been paid for (even though she had the order) My friend said she had definitely paid for it, but my other friend who did not want to cause a fuss paid again.
It was exceptionally bad service and we won't be back. DON'T GO THERE!!

    Vicious Delicious.
Be warned: this cafe stands out as a child-unfriendly place, and the manager is extremely rude, it certainly doesn't do Australia proud.
Instead, if you'd like some free entertainment and drama thrown in with your coffee, than this place might be for you. Otherwise avoid it and go down one of the other lovely cafes Yarra Glen has to offer.
When there were 9 degrees outside and it was drizzling with rain, together with my partner and two boys (aged 4 and 2) we turned up at "Delicious" for a Saturday brunch.
After we finished consuming our orders in an orderly and civilised manne, us adults we leisurely reading through the Saturday papers, whilst the kids were entertaining themselves with their model car and train. They were playing well and no tantrums nor argument took place. Also, a couple came ove to compliment us on how lovely our boys are. The manager (a lady in her late forties with brown wavy hair and grey eyes) came ove to clear our table. As I kindly asked for our glasses to be left because we were still drinking, she gazed at me with an extremely annoyed expression and she suggested that our children should wait outside for us to finish. As I thought I misunderstood her, give the young age of our children and the proximity of a busy road as well as the adverse wintry weather conditions, I politely asked her to repeat. That's when she launched in a full blown lecture on the topic of privacy in public spaces, claiming that we were invading other customers private space with the background noise our kids were allegedly making. Our jaws dropped in disbelief at the unprovoked, unfair and bitter attack that the manager just gave to us customers. Had we been in a church during mass, that would have been a fair comment, instead in a cafè that does not apply, given the nature of the business, which by the way does not serve chai latte although the food selection is wholesome and with a a selection of homemade goodies.

My parent's and I walked into the "Delicious" café this afternoon having spent a lovely day in the Yarra Valley. It was one of two cafes which were close to each other...BOY, DID WE MAKE THE WRONG CHOICE!!!!
We sat down at a table. There was no one else in the shop apart from two female employees. One of the women, from her place at the cash register, asked us (rather crankily I thought) if we wanted coffees. We said that we did and my Dad ordered his and mum, hers. I detected her annoyance when I walked to the counter to order mine.

In spite of all this, I remained fairly oblivious to the shocking vibe in the place. With hindsight I realise the woman was annoyed that we hadn't ordered at the register, even though we had only just sat down before she started quizzing us about our orders. At that stage I thought she was eager to close the shop (it was about 3.30 or 3.45) so I attributed her brusque manner to that fact.

While we were drinking our coffees, which I drank happily whilst refraining from telling her that I had ordered a cappuccino and not a latte, a group of three came and placed an order too. After about half an hour I said to the others that I thought we'd better go as there were obvious signs of packing up going on around us. Mum carried her cup to the counter, in a vain effort to be helpful, and turned to leave the shop as dad was going to pay. She smiled at the woman and she glared at mum. Again, mum gave her the benefit of the doubt, and latter said she had an unfortunate manner but was probably unaware of it.

The three of us left the shop and my dad remained. I figured he was paying so I waited around the corner for him while the we discussed what an unpleasant ordeal that coffee had been. My dad arrived, extremely upset and said what a dreadful woman the cash register person was. Apparently, (and I swear this is true as he is the most honest person you will meet) absent-mindedly started to leave the shop without paying. The woman, rightly so, told him he hadn't paid. He apologised profusely and she said "All you did was sit at your table and bark orders at me"!!!! He told her she should mind her manners and that he had never been spoken to like that. He told her business would not last if she treated customers like that. She said "I've been here for 12 years!" He told her she won't be there for much longer.

I cannot get over her obnoxious behaviour. Her partner seemed pleasant. I don't know how she deals with her co-worker. Her life must be a nightmare. Believe me, I don't normally write bad reviews. I think I am a kind and forgiving person. This woman, however, does not deserve to be in business.

    DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Don't waste your time, Called in for Sunday Breakfast/Brunch , only 2 other people in café, EVERYTHING was too much trouble for the RUDE staff, asked for Bacon and Egg toasty , told NOT available, but was offered a Bacon Focaccia , ok ordered that......... waited 13 mins for our coffee ( no one else in Store ) the other 2 people already had theirs...... eventually arrive ...COLD ,,, then the focaccia arrived at tour table and was THROWN on the table at us...... MY GOD don't work in the food industry if you don't want to be there... THE WORST PLACE I HAVE VER BEEN TOO. having owned a very café for 19 years this place is an insult to Cafes. Plenty of other café to go to in Yarra Glen . will NEVER return , unless of course I am after RUDE staff and poor customer service
